Default Starting out tip

When becoming your own boss, it really helps to go with something you are already very familiar with, than investing your time and money and trying to learn as you go. You can learn more things later when you have the time and the money.

Even if you know something - you have to have a strong business sense as well as a firm plan. Great knowledge does not make a great business.

Once the right kind of start is there the confidence starts building up and along with every passing day things then start improving. So knowledge can be improved later. I think that is the safe way to be there.

I think that is very good advice. However, if it comes to tangible goods, you don't really need to be that knowledgable about the product before you decide to sell it. You just have to know if it will be good to sell

I agreed that you should start out something familar but at the same time you have to be very open minded when it comes to learning new ideas and tips.

I think, one should start such a business, what he knows. Every person has some skills, Some are good in cooking, ome are good in crafting. So, utilise these skills as a home business.

Rightly so. It is said that do what best you can do. If you are good at sports then do something on sports. You will get mind support and you will get success.

On the other hand, as Melos pointed out, you need a niche. Preferably one that isn't already overpopulated. Or, if you're going to be doing something common, then you need something uncommon - something unique to encourage people to go with YOU instead of your competitor.

I have a different approach to what you are thinking trick-r-treat. My way of thinking is to do something that is more effective (which can be something that you don't know how to do well) rather than put your time into stuff you already know. This plays with the laws of success. Constantly LEARN and Constantly GROW. You'll be better off doing something new and having new experiences for sure. Even though you don't have the money, who says you need this to learn new concepts. We in this forum are learning a lot as a group and our input is coming from a lot of views that people have experienced. Learning something new and applying it has so much benefits, I can't name them in one post alone
