Default Biggest Challenge

What is the biggest obstacle you have run into as a business owner so far? There are so many things that can go wrong or be difficult. On the other hand, good planning and keeping a good head when things do go wrong can make a big difference in the outcome of even the most negative events.

I think my biggest challenge is good planning, effective time keeping. I always seem to struggle with it. Rather than doing the work I should be doing I put it off. It's not lazyness, I dunno what it is.

I agree about the planning / time keeping thing - its not laziness, its procrastination, maybe? Are you doing unimportant 'busy' work, instead of stuff you should be doing?

I have a similar problem - I sometimes find myself doing stuff that needs to be finished by next month, instead of stuff that needs to be finished by next week. Then the day before the other task needs to be finished I panic, do it all in one go, and burn out.

I'm playing games, surfing random sites on the net, watching tv etc... nothing exactly important.

I think my biggest challenge is to stay focused. A lot of times I'll drift -- sort of like what Chris Gwynne said. I just need to keep myself focused and on task and I should be alright. I think a lot of it has to do with how much you love what you do. I really love what I do, but I still find myself drifting reading blogs and so forth.

My biggest challenge is finding time for new projects, and showing online business owners that offline print media is very effective!

the biggest challenge that I have faced in starting up a business is actually starting it up. When I left uni I had the choice to either get a job or start a business, I was worried about where I would get the money from to live on as I had no saving so I kept putting it off.

I find that there are times that keeping up the steady business and cash flow can be a challenge. Not always, but there can be slow times.
