Default Craigslist post duplication problems

I recently was using craiglist to place a few job postings for my new venture. I'm looking for people in about 6 different cities. Last week I put up the same posting in three different cities with no problem. But this week I tried posting in the rest of the cities that I need people in only to find out that it wouldn't let me since it was too similar to one other posting.

I'm trying to figure out why it would let me do multiple postings one week, and not the next. Any ideas?

I'm not sure about that. Is Craiglist's one where you have to sign up and use a username? If so there may be a limit on the number of posts you can make. Just a thought.

Have you tried contacting them?

I've never used Craigslist to post jobs/items, so I'm not sure why they didn't allow you to post more than one. I'm sure that they have some sort of SPAM filter that is explained on one of the pages of their website. I've used Craigslist only for purchasing of odd households items like tables, chairs, etc. It's a great resource, though.

Craigslist is supposed to be a local resource - so they will limit you on how many you can post in different cities. Their filter is seemingly random, though.

Thanks for the responses.

Random is correct. You can sign up with a username and password which is suppose to help you keep track of all of your posts. I did, and the first three posted fine. I tried more but it wouldn't let me. So I thought it was a numbers issue as well, so I waited a couple days and deleted my first posting, but it still wouldn't allow me to post more after that.

Very very weird.

That site is moderated by real people I believe.
If they see something they dont like, they will take it down.

Im still yet to use that site, Im not sure if it really has any positive benefits besides the fact is has high PR.
