Default Didn't Pay

Have you ever had a customer who never paid you? Perhaps you went through many avenues to try to get your money but never did. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone.

It sure as hell happened to me. I'm still working with my lawyer to get the money back. A "former" client of mine has owed me $4,000 for about nine months now. I'm starting to get some place, but it's still taking time.

Well, he had been paying me that same amount each month for about a year. He then decided not to pay his final bill and bailed. That's basically what happened.

It has taken quite while sometimes, but I have always got paid eventually.

The worst thing is dealing with limited companies, it has never happened to me but I know someone who was ouwed about £5k for copywriting, design and print work and the company went bust.

I only had one bad experience so far. This guy was not going to pay me and I had completed the job exactly as assisgned. He just didn't seem to think he had to pay. I was nice about everything but kept billing him until he finally decided to pay up.

What services do you offer? Many clients are un-trustful of this method.

You might end up paying more in legal bills than what you are owed

I am like that too though, if I am owed something, I am prepared to lose money just to get it back, as it's the principle of the matter that is most important.
