Default Ebooks

Are there any Ebooks you have read and would recommend?

I'm talking anything to do with business, marketing, adsense, affiliates, promotion etc etc

Everyone raves about Joel Comm's adsense ebook, but I'm really hesitant to spend $97 on an ebook - that's a huge amount of money.

I haven't ready many EBooks, I'd much rather have a hard copy. It's a different experience .

I've actually never read a single ebook, ever. I've even found some free books online and decided to buy the physical copy of the book through Amazon instead, because I couldn't stand reading all of that text. It really is an eye strain.

I think ebooks are just full of information that you can gather on forums, if you look hard enough.

Having read a few, I have to say you're right anteater - most ebooks are information anyone with a search engine and half a brain can find for themselves. There are some exceptions (I've read some very good ebooks on computer game development) but the majority of them (for webmasters) are just churned out by people hoping to make a quick buck.

Join a few good forums (if you're reading this you've started already) and you'll be fine.

I've read a few (and helped people write a few too ) and I have to agree that with the rare exception, they are not worth the money. I, too, prefer reading printed pages. Any ebook on a general topic like how to build a website is usually just the same old stuff reworded or organized differently. You might find one idea you haven't seen before, but it's usually not worth the expense, even if the ebook is cheap. Plus, you'll likely get emails from the company until the end of time, even if you ask them not to send any.

If you want to try some out, try the ones with a return guarantee, read it and then return it (and hope they are honest enough to return your money) if it is of no use to you. I think if you look at a few, you'll soon see that most are just regurgitating the same old stuff. Just my two cents worth.

I read lots of books but i have never read through an entire ebook. Much of what I have seen in them is "common sense."

Ok so we agree its hardly worth paying for an ebook.

Does anyone know of any FREE ebooks that have something valuable in them?
At least a few hints and tips, not trade secrets obviously.

I found Instant-Riches very useful. The author has explained all about money making in very simple language. This is the best book for anyone. Rich Jerk is also a good one but it is for advance and experienced people.

eBooks aren't bad. I have a Zinio (SP) Reader where I can get eBooks and Magazines, and put them on my tablet PC. It's great to have while I'm traveling, or during class or in between. It's got a bigger feel, bigger text, and you can highlight and do things that you want. Hardcovers are OK - but I like to have everything stored in one place. I'd like to have 10 eBooks in one folder, rather then 10 books in a backpack.
