Wow! That's insane. Now that they merged, I wonder how much of the market they control?

Wow...this seems like quite a big move for them. I wasn't following much, but I didn't see that one coming

I knew it was bound to happen, I just had the SLIGHTEST feeling that the merge was along the lines somewhere (cause an article I read a while back ago said they were in talks.)

Quiet a bit now I bet.

It sorta upsets me, I love ThePlanet and despise EV1.

Back when they were Rackshack (in the early days) I liked them okay, was a customer for a good couple of years, and then things started changing, they expanded their datacenter to the second story and things went south real quick. Their network sucks, their customer service sucks, I can't think of anything (outside of their pricing?) that doesn't suck...

I heard about that a couple of months ago, I thought everyone knew.

I have been with Ev1 (rackshack) since the beginning and have been quite impressed with their network and service throughout. I have seen various complaints before but they have been good for me.

Ev1 are not the cheapest anymore though, my latest server was from SoftLayer and was over $100p/m cheaper than ev1 - Softlayer really pissed me off with the setup service.

Yea, I remember your post about that. Softlayer has been good to me. My server was set up within hours.

Yeah they seem nice people, I think the problem was I ordered towards the end of a promotion they had which generated alot of orders and created a huge backlog.
