Default getting traffic that will convert

It is easy to get traffic to your website, the difficult part is to get targeted traffic that will convert. I would like to get ideas on methods to get targeted traffic.

Building quality and targeted backlinks should be able to help you out. This will help you get a good ranking on SERP for organic and targeted traffic. Optimize for keywords that your target market will be most likely searching for. Another way is thru advertisements - classifieds, ppc, banners, paid links, etc.

Goodluck

Make sure you have done your keyword research and are
targetting LOTS of keywords including the long-tail ones.
Ensure your site is structured correctly around these, then
get lots of related backlinks to your site's pages using the
keywords & keyword variations relating to those pages.

Articles are great for building up credibility, traffic and backlinks.

Use Web2.0 sites (forums, videos, groups, social networks) to find
targetted groups of people.

PPC is good but expensive & very hard to profit from due to
the competition these days and other marketers clicking your links.

Traffic exchanges will get you traffic but it's generally not the
sort you're after, but can be good for testing ad conversions and
building lists.

In general, take a little time to consider who your ideal customers are
and think whereabouts they will be hanging out online and how they
will be looking for what they want. Then position yourself right in
front of them and offer them what they're looking for. Market and keyword
research is everything!

Hope this helps a bit

Any luck with OPT - in email opportunities? And is there anything out there as a low budget or FREE opportunity?

Our email marketing campaign to opt-in subscribers on our newsletter have been proving to be a very important factor in our marketing mix.

The key is diversifying your marketing efforts so as to broaden your reach
