| Managing a day job and my online business, can it be done? I got a job offering the other day to work at a well known search engine in my region as a web developer, the pay is ok, but I'll have to work from 9am to 5pm, and most certainly, I'll have to work an extra couple of hours at home especially if there is a project deadline I have to meet, I am worried that this job will not leave me enough time to manage my online business, I need around 3 hours per day at least online to manage my websites.
What do you guys think, should I take the job?

If you are making enough online to live on and you enjoy it, i wouldnt take the job, but if you are not making enough online to live on take it, earn some money and come back to your online businesses with some money in the bank.
I think only you can answer this question. |

I think you should have enough time to work on your Internet businesses, though. You could put in about one hour in the morning before work and two hours at night before you go to sleep. |

| Re: Managing a day job and my online business, can it be done? Totally agree with the above post. Thing is though, dont slow down on your internet jobs, if you believe that would be your career. |

| Re: Managing a day job and my online business, can it be done? It depends on how capable you are of managing your time, if you think you can get the online-business related work done in a set time period every day then you should be fine. |

| Re: Managing a day job and my online business, can it be done? The decision is yours of course. You will want to consider whether you are interested in working this day job. Do you need the additional income? Etc...
However, I know plenty of people who have a day job and also have their own very productive businesses as well. |

| Re: Managing a day job and my online business, can it be done? I would do it simply for the experience. Give it a couple of months and quit if you dont like it or arent getting enough time for your biz.
You will most likely find that it will give you new skills that you can apply to your own sites |

| Re: Managing a day job and my online business, can it be done? Should you take it? Sure, give it 3 months. You'll either look it, you'll like both, or you'll hate it (the job that is) and be energized to come back and work for yourself.
As far as can you do it, heck yes, I do it, so you can too! |
