Default Online Stock Brokers for Beginner's

I was just wondering, since everybody knows I am going to begin my investing adventure in a couple of weeks (1-2 months to be precise) on which stock broker below you would choose.

Now I did have the full details for each, pro and con's but when I submitted, my cookie on this PC I guess ran out and I never copied or pasted so before it runs down again, I am going to post my "Elite 4" picks. Please help me choose one, or recommend.

BTW... all of these are "NO MINIMUM" stock market companies. In other words, you don't need any certain amount to open an account.

1. ShareBuilder - http://www.sharebuilder.com ($14.95 REAL-TIME Trades)
2. Firstrade - http://www.firstrade.com ($6.95 Trades)
3. InvesTrade - http://www.investrade.com ($7.95 Trades)
4. Trading Direct - http://www.tradingdirect.com ($9.95 Trades)

THANKS!

I used eTrade before as well as Schwab.com. I think both are good and very professional. I cannot comment on any other online trading website, because I've not used them before. I know that eTrade is the biggest, however, which has its up's and down's.

Well, they have high fee's on starting an account with them, ranging from $1,000-$5,000 which is a bit high for us amateurs.

you could consider scottrade.com. They charge $7 per trade and you need $500 to open an acct. If you call them, they may let you open one for less.

They also have a handy online broker comparison chart you should check out.
