If it's a non-customer-facing aspect of your business, and it can be performed at a lesser cost than in-house, than I say outsource it, whether that would be outside of your country or still in your country.

For customer-facing aspects, why outsource? After all, don't you know your customers better than anyone else?

Eh, personally I wondered about this. I read a lot of blogs and a lot of the web people out there outsource. Personally I don't like having to deal with so many people. I already have enough communication probs with clients alone.

Outsourcing is an extremely great idea, in my opinion. Especially right now as more and more people are trying to make money over the internet. There is always someone who is just as good but will do it for less just because there are too many people doing it. Of course, you'll want good people, so make your choices carefully. You can outsource about 50% of whatever you charge and pocket the rest 50%. It'll usually work out. It's worked out for me well. Sometimes, I don't even have to do anything because I've got a pretty good team.

I outsource all the time. What I have is a few different teams I outsource to. They are all made of people I know and that I can trust. Outsourcing can become extremely convenient when you get a bunch of big projects at the same time.

Outsourcing within the states, or in Europe is OK. Unfortunately, my experiences with Indians thus far has been terrible. Their work is lack luster, the language barrier is unbearable, and they are always late.

But, in general, I believe it's a necessity. Not everyone can do everything by themselves. It's just the way it is, and its the way that keep the market running smoothly.

Outsourcing can often save you time and frustration especially during peak business times, so yes I would outsource asmuch as I could, but I wouldn't put myself in any situation where I would have to deal with language barriers, I'm not being rude, but it can cost too much time, and if a mistake is made, all my customers know is that it is my fault.

I don't like to do outsourcing really. I have to give money to someone else rather than keeping it for myself . I'll only ever outsource design work, because that's what I can't do, even then only to a few select people who I know I can trust and won't let me down if I have specific needs and/or deadlines to meet.

Hmmmmmm, I think I'd outsource my work in certain circumstances. Like if its a job that I absolutely need done (like at this moment, I need a stream authentication system built for my online streams and that a way I can have some source of revenue *by the subscribe to streams using the login system*.)

But if you really need something done and need it outsourced, as some would say customilization is better, but something even BETTER is a pre-made program that is customized, saves money in the process. All in all, outsourcing to me is alright in some circumstances.
