I'm available 9 til 5, but I don't work constantly - I'm a content site, and I need to contact PR companies / answer their questions to me, etc. I update when theres news, and code when I'm feeling productive (which is usually on weekends).

I like to be flexible so I don't burn out.

Right now I'm just working part-time but am self-employed. I've got enough steady clients to get the income I need and I like to work when I want to work, as opposed to set hours.

Up until a year ago, though, I always worked a 9-5 job and did my own stuff in the evenings/weekends. I'm much happier picking my work times than sticking with hours set by an employer. Still, I think I learned a lot about self-discipline during the years working for others, as you have to live by rules and make others (the boss) happy, so it can be good training for customer service when you can make the jump to self-employment and picking your own work times.

The only problem I run into sometimes is timing - I live a number of time zones away from many of my regular clients and that can be a problem as their day starts a lot earlier, so if they need something by noon, I pretty much have to have finished it the night before (or in the wee hours of the morning!).

You are dedicated
I just cant work weekends, dont know why.
I would rather be out having fun and spending time with family.

Do you feel burnt out working 6 or 7 days a week?
