I don't really think adsense is any trouble. Yes, you can lose your account because of click fraud, but that is why 1.) you shouldn't rely exclusively on google and 2.) you shouldn't be encouraging click fraud.

Of course you can't click on your own ads or encourage others to click on the ads. The money you receive for people clicking on ads comes from other website owner's pockets. They only want people to click on the ads if they are interested. They are trying to earn an income, not support others.

So you should have other means of earning from your site other than Adsense.
What other means are there? And this is excluding the option of selling items or offering services..if you just have a website you enjoy keeping, what other options do you have?

This assumes that all people who have their accounts called into question are, in fact, cheaters. I have seen posts, on other boards, from those who had their accounts called into question as soon as they approached their first pay out level. One stated that it was "easy" to fix". She wrote a letter and asked that her account be investigated. It was after that response on her part that Google finally recanted their claim and sent the money to her. Apparently this may be an automatic practice on the part of Google.
