I hope it is soon too - a lot of my sites should have PR now according to some prediction sites like iwebtool...

I think the difference between a 5 and a 6 or whatever is not as important, but I bet a 0 (blank) or a 5-6 is still important. I haven't been following PageRank as closely as I once did. I actually wrote a 20 page paper on it a few years back, but I'd imagine this to be the case.
It was very important for SERPs in 2004. Google did not make PageRank so you can sell textlinks on your site lol, that was not the initial idea. Not to mention, Google does not like artificial linking, that's one of the main reasons why PR decreased in value.
My main interest is to see how accurate these PR prediction tools are, i have a feeling not very. Because I have brand new sites hardly worked on being predicted PR 5 and 6, which is unlikely I think.
