You started off in the right place Forums are probably the most targeted place to advertise, and the best part of it is that it's free. Just remember to post threads and replies that are information, not just because you want to get your signature file out there. You will only succeed when people believe that you know what your talking about.

absolutely right. Also write articles that pertain to your niche and post them on triond and associated content. Why not get paid for advertising.

Associated Content pays for articles up front...anywhere between $3.00 to $10.00 depending on if you submit them for exclusive use by the site or nonexculsive use.

I haven't tried anything on Triond yet and Helium is pretty limited as to how you can write your articles. I don't think theyprovide a way to insert links withint your text and there is no area provided for adding links where you might be able to place your links.

I don't like helium. I tried it and I what I saw was garbage.

AC as my account will attest seems to be arbitrary with their payments. I stopped submitting exclusives when my non-exclusives paid higher, go figure. Triond I do for exposure. The pay is trivial but I do a thing that has bolstered my web presence and traffic to my sites.

You can also submit your link to web directories so that it can be listed, request for link exchanges from other similar sites.

Most of my business and traffic to websites has come from word of mouth. And they are correct in saying that forums are a great help for promoting your site as well.

First question is, are you willing to spend for your marketing? If yes, then try PPC. You can also outsource the promotion aspect like posting on forums, ad boards and directories. Get people to do it for you. Search for a reputable email marketing company.

If not, then you really need to spend sometime infront of your PC and do the marketing like what others have suggested.
