Default Advice Needed On Website

Hello everyone,

I recently launched ConsumerTreehouse.com, which is a consumer review website that provides the public with 100% unbiased and unsolicited product reviews. All reviews on the site are user-created and published, along the same lines as Wikipedia.

Since ConsumerTreehouse.com was created for the public I would like to hear your feedback, good and bad, about how I can improve the site and make it more user-friendly and interactive.

When you have a spare moment please take a look at my site and either respond to this forum posting or e-mail me direct at consumertreehouse@gmail.com

I look forward to all the feedback and thank you to everyone in advance.

Before anything I suggest you link your header back to the main page. Its for better navigation.

I like the concept of the site. Im envisioning it now as a wide user-driven site. However, I like to know how will you drive or weed out the spamming reviwes?

Gary, thank for the suggestion and the positive words. As far as weeding out the spam reviews I will be doing that now, haven't had any problems so far, but the site is fairly new.

Do you have any suggestions on how to do this? Since all new reviews are e-mailed directly to me, in order for me to keep an eye on the language, I will hopefully be able to see a pattern in the reviews and the spam will stick out.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on how to tackle this.

Thanks for the advice.

The only thing I can think of now is manual moderation of your site, which could get a lot once your site gets popular. anyway, by then maybe you can afford to hire somebody to do that for you.

Can your site be a target for automatic spamming? Perhaps code verification can be a preventive feature.
