Or, just do a search on "HTML tutorial" and I'll bet you'll turn up hundreds of options

I learned HTML by seeing things I liked and going View -> Source on the page. I like that HTML is so logical. The code fits what it's trying to do.

My favorite thing to do when I was first learning HTML and basic web page design was to grab a free web template from somwhere and start messing around with it. I quickly learned what I could change and what I shouldn't.

Yes, that's great advice. Rather than trying to design a page from scratch, you're much better off finding a free template (there are thousands).

I find coding extremely difficult. I would try Good-Tutorials.com · 12,353 Adobe Photoshop Tutorials if you are looking for great tutorials on mostly graphic design and some HTML.

Wow! Thanks -thoma- that site is just what I need. I have an idea of adobe photoshop but just need to study more on it because what I practice and do at work is just resizing pictures and a little cropping and enhancing. The other features of Ps I haven't tried much and need to learn more.

Thanks for the links. I would like to know whether we can use Dreamweaver or Frontpage as a normal web design solution (other than graphics). I think once we have our graphics ready then we use one of these two and develop the content and upload to our site.

When you see a webpage with an interesting design, but you don't know how the code effects the appearance, try using the view source button on your browser. It is a good way to get familiar with languages the same way it helps to hear a foreign language spoken and then see it written.
