I'm developing a site using the principles of color theory. Finding the right colors based on how people physically react to them. I've always known that colors have certain affects, but until I actually studied color theory I had no idea just how much. This should be considered in web developing websites along with the color wheel.

Well some markets embrace sharp contrast. If the pattern in the background might interfere with reading ease, text can always be placed on solid panels with the "active" background showing through around the panels.

I honestly believe any color scheme can work, as long as you're gearing it appropriately towards your audience. For example, lime green and magenta are obviously not particularly good choices for an academic website, but might work perfectly for a blog about nightlife... it's all about creativity and using a little simple logic.

Its al right using theory in design, but you can find out much more styles and techniques out there. It is not boxed. Go ahead and try this for your design and site and do grow from there. Keep us posted so we take a look at your work! Good Luck!
