One of the most important things when learning web design is to have someone there to answer your questions. This is paramount.

I learned by having a great person mentor me as I was doing the work. Learning an updated program is far easier than just beginning to learn web design because at least you know the lingo. It sure beats spending load of money on a course and not getting much out of it. Get a one on one person who knows web design and stick with them.

Thanks to all of you. I have checked on Lynda.com & Learnflash.com, these two sites are indeed very good! However, it is also true that we need someone to guide us as we learn these especially that I am not a computer course graduate and some terms and phrases aren't easy for me to understand what they mean. So what I am doing now is to study the basics (flash & dreamweaver) and afterwards, try to find a job that would give me a chance to practice what I have learned and if I can't find that job soon, then I will go to these sites and update what I have learned.
