I have heard of this. Does it make it more powerful? Or just looks like photoshop?

I haven't had time to play with it myself. I have been bombarded by friends who are liking it.

I think in term of user-friendliness it's better compared to Gimp because it's interface is more similar to PS. However in terms of functions Gimp is better.

Well I never heard about Gimpshop but I am using GIMP and I am very happy with GIMP's capability. I hope this one become more powerfull for us.

It is actually one or two versions behind The Gimp, therefore not as powerful. To some people it has an easier interface (if you are used to PS) but to others, like me, it seems generic. I rather use the original, which has more updates and better support IMO.

Just wondering as I am reading this thread ... what is the difference between Gimpshop and Photoshop aside from having different prefix?
