well, I have seen a lots of site especially blog, CMS, forum sites has all those icon beside the topic and links. I wonder if these icon or pictures really work? Yup I know that it should be able to give users an rough idea as to what each link or topic is about before they click. But what else? Do it help if it is use in a webpage/wesite other than blogs/forum/CMS ??

I am actually quite not sure what you mean about "work." If by "work" you mean that the customer likes it, then I would go with a "yes." Many people are visuals, and an image may lure them easier.

Specifically as I'm visual thinking which means I think in picture and I;m more inclined to remember things that are visually represented
