you have to be able to find what you are looking for in the first few clicks and hopefully those will peak my interest even further.

I think content is most valuable to me, followed closely by ease of use. How much I'm willing to "work" with the site kind of depends on what's going on around me at the time. It's always best for me to have an easy point and click situation.

You'd be amazed at what people have made and consider it to be a website. One in particular is the City of Tishomingo, OK website (www.tishomingo.com) It's horrible!! Whoever designed it did a terrible job. Sites like that drive me crazy, I can't stand to do much exploring in it, I usually just leave as soon as I see it. If it doesn't look professional or like it was made with any effort, then I leave.

It does make me feel good though since I feel like - "well I can do a better job than that!" - I'm still learning web design and have been doing it for a few years on my own.

I don't pretend to be a web designer. That is why I have others design for me. But one thing that I thought was funny was when I went to a guy's website that offers networking and design programs and found that his site did not look professional or even good at all.

Though content is the most important thing of a website, I generally look at the website that is clean and easy to navigate. The colour is also important for me. I don't like dark colour like black.
