I got Photoshop CS. Maybe I will get myself CS2 when I can shell out some hard cash (unlike the popular myth, not everyone from India uses Pirated software).

Some countries are lucky, the government doesn't recognise international copyright so the shops sell pirate stuff.

I currently run Adobe Photoshop CS. It's basically a fine-tuned version of Photoshop 7. Does the trick for me. Now, I'm just waiting for adobe to release the monster pack that'll set me back a few thousand dollars. -_-

I'm actually wondering what adobe plans to do with the crowned jewel that is macromedia which they recently purchased. The idea of a synergy of photoshop and flash sounds like what could be the mjolnir of web development.

As far as photoshop, I use CS, and the changes from version to version are so minimal its not worth upgrading. I would also recommend anyone who uses photoshop check out the alien skin filter plugins

I'm running 7.0 at the moment - it works great and I know how to use it.
Upgrading would be expensive and, to be honest, I can't be bothered learning how to use the new features...

At home I use CS2, at school I use CS. For everyother adobe program I use CS (After Effects, Primiere Pro, Image Ready, Illustrator)

That's where I'm at too with Photoshop. It was expensive enough to get in the first place and I can't afford to upgrade right now for the minimal amount of the new features I'd use.

I hope the Macromedia deal does result in Photoshop and Flash being joined together. That would be awesome (and a lot less trouble for all of us) and hopefully more economical for users.

I just got CS2 but have not installed it yet. I doubt its different from CS just for web use.
Photoshop 7 is still usable, one of my PC's is still running that one.
