do you guys ever go by the design view of dreamweaver(dreamweaver 8 to be exact)? Right now all the browsers display my site correctly, but dreamweaver view looks funky.

I wouldn't worry about it, it can do stange things. If it looks ok in all browsers do not worry what DW shows you.

I've never really used Dreamweaver, but I wouldn't worry about it as long as it your web site looks good in all of the modern browsers. I would just care about that only and not care about anything else, because that's what people will view it in.

Don't worry about it. If it's plain HTML with no external files, DW should render it properly but otherwise it may get a bit funky.

Yea, I wouldn't worry about it, although I have never had problems exactly like that, if you have any content that is dynamic or feeding off of a host online, it tends to mess up some features, I had a similar problem in an older website I designed.

Sometimes it just messes with you. If it doesn't look correctly soon, then you might have a problem. I'm sure it's some sort of silly glitch.

Yeah, don't worry about it. Either you'll figure it out or the program will fix it self. It's probably just a small glitch.

Dreamweaver is a great tool for the syntax and tag checking, and it's very nice to be able to see your site structure at a glance to orient yourself...but I never bother even glancing at the design view, the rendering engine is worse than IE's. If you use any PHP or anything beyond the most basic CSS the design view goes all to hell in a hurry.

I have PHP and MySQL installed on my development PC and just use the browser on that PC for most testing. When that won't work for whatever reason I create a private sub-domain on a host I maintain just for testing purposes.
