Great PHP Tutorials

I would really like to learn some PHP. Could some one find me some ebooks or tutorial based websites that have some tutorials on PHP?

A good website to learn the basics of PHP is http://www.tizag.com/phpT/. This website is the one I used to learn PHP myself.

For some reason I actually find it easier to learn when I've got the material next to me, in the form of a hardcopy book. I don't know whether or not you've tried it, or if you do well with the methods you're already using.

The reason I prefer a book is because when I use online tutorials, I too often find myself getting lost in all the other things the web has to offer me. So when I work with programming, I more often than not just disconnect myself from the net altogether and work on my local server. I guess that's the punishment I have to take for being an eternal procrastinator!

I have always hated reading books. I like websites better, it just seems like everything is more convenient when I am reading tutorials from websites.

I hate reading books myself.. But in my instance i am lucky at the moment.

WIth college (studying diploma of web development) this section of the course they are teaching us to work with PHP. The good part about it is, wer are runnign the course like a business and we actually take on real clietns.

This is good i feel because we get to work in different ares (team leader, test, programmer designer) and sort out each and every aspect with each section..
