Default Help with CSS

Hmm does anyone here knows how to build a CSS drop down menu (as in, when you hover over a link, there are sub menus) using pure CSS and no javascript? I've tried building it and succeeded in Firefox but couldnt get it to work in IE cause the :hover function doesnt work. Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Go to Dynamic Drive DHTML(dynamic html) & JavaScript code library and you'll probably find the script there.

Thanks for those links. However as I've already mentioned I want to rely on pure CSS and not use any javascripts at all.

From my understanding, you need some JavaScript to make it function properly on Internet Explorer. That could have changed with IE 7, I am not certain.

I checked Suckerfish's example but it is also using the JavaScript that they recommend you use
