They each have their own uses, it's hard to compare them directly.

PHP all the way! Purely because I've had bad experiences with ASP code - I dont care for it much.

I prefer ASP over PHP, because almost everything I do involves ASP.

None of them. ASP is an old technology, and PHP is not good enough for Enterprise applications, therefore it is not good enough for the working world. Although, if I were to pick, then definetely ASP. From ASP atleast you can move to ASP.NET without much of a hassle.

I'm a Coldfusion developer, but I still think ASP.NET is the best you can go with in today's day. Coldfusion 7.0 Enterprise isn't too far behind, but too many people think of the old Allaire Coldfusion 4.0 when they hear the name "Coldfusion". That's why it has a bad rep, it has come a long way since then.

I'm definitely planning on learning ASP.NET soon. LSU offers free training courses, and one of them is for ASP.NET.

It's good to be well-rounded, I believe.
