Default Redirect old site to new domain?

Hi everyone, its me again with lots of questions seeking helps here. . This time I need some simple guide :-
Having got a much relevant damain name to one of my site, I would like to re-direct the old site to this new domain. I have load all the neccessary data, and file structure into this new domain. Now, when a visitor types in www. domain.info , I would like it to automatically re-direct to www. domain.com .

So, how do I go about it? Any help would be fantastic! Thanks.

My hosting service handles this for me. I just plugged in the domain I wanted to forward and the domain I wanted it forwarded to.

cPanel should allow this to work... either that or take a long route (private DNS, IP, etc. etc. --- the long boring and sometimes HARD stuff.)

emm...I got a guide from someone else that tell me to use Error Document redirect. But with his advise, all my old pages will be directed to my new site's homepage instead of directing them to each of corresponding pages.

emm...I am still searching for a better way to do it correctly. Hopefully it won't be a tedious job.

Just copy and paste the following code into a file called index.htm that is hosted at your old domain. I have italicized the text you will need to replace with your own.

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>you will want to put the title of your website here</TITLE>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="enter number of seconds until site redirects- i.e. 5; URL=enter the url you wish to redirect to">
</HEAD>
<BODY>
you may wish to enter HTML formatted text here indicating that the user is being redirected
</BODY>
</HTML>

^^ That was my next idea, to use META Tags to forward to the new site.

You should use a 301 redirect really, normally you can do it through your hosting control panel or request the host does it.

the meta method is used alot by ppl trying to trick search engines.
