There are a number of video players, paid and free, on the internet that you can find doing a Google search or a Hotscripts.com search.

In my job, we edit sites to update regularly. We have a template which we edit in dreamweaver and there's an image placeholder for vids/photos then we place the image/video source on the provided space for the link.

I would recommend either using either quickplayer or youtube, because they are the ones that are commonly used. However if you search around you can find there's lots of video hosting sites that provide very high quality hosting services, search for them on google.

I usually try to convert the file to flash since most people already have flash. The program I use is Flash Video Encoder and it seems to really do the trick. It also allows you to add a few things, like your logo or a control feature as well.

I do have a youtube clone script which you may want to use. It will allow you and other users to add their own content. If you like, you can hit me on MSN at icetray.technologies [at] gmail.com or e-mail me at daysandnites [at] gmail.com and and I can provide you with more information.

Also, be aware that the video may make loading your site impossible forpeople who are still on dial up. So many people assume that everyone has dsl or cable that they exclude alot of potential business by embedding a video that runs automatically. Be sure to have it set so it is not difficult to avoid having to see or hear it.

I have cable and I detest searching around to find how to turn off music or videos.

I think this is a good method to go, although the video quality may get compromised after converting.
