I would like to know that If unfortunately someone falls pray to online fraud, then what is the solution? Where do one go and complaint. Because it may be a cross country issue how these things are dealt with?

Your only recourse is to complain to the company that you used to buy the fraudlent item with. This could be your credit card company or Paypal.

If you can prove your case, they will initiate a charge back for you and give you your money back.

If it happens in the US and the person who you're complaining about broke the law, you can report them at this site: http://www.ic3.gov/. If it occurs across countries, it is probably a lot more difficult.

I dont do business transactions through PayPal, because they often fail to assist complaining customers.

Can always make a complaint with the BBB.

Credit card fraud is a little easier to deal with than a social security number fraud though.

With PayPal, if the goods a virtual then you are pretty much screwed to be honest. Unless you have paid my credit card and can do a charge back.

Some might not agree but this is what I have found to be the case.

There are places you can hire to keep watch on your accounts and to correct issues that have arose. My folks just had this happen with a credit card and they started with issuing a fraud alert with all creditors and their bank.
