About the western union online payment

I have evr tried using that western union online thing and after i sent the money,they said you had to call a certain number to confirm your transaction,when i called the number,actually the number was invalid.I wondered if this was a scam.

Who gave you the toll free number to call? Where did you get it? Can you give us the URL?

Western Union is a financial website and sometimes people phish these websites. You always want to make sure you are on the correct website

It was a scam and it is quite common. It would figure the onetime I watch Dr. Phil the western union thing was used on people scammed into thinking they were going to have a one on one with Dr. Phil or his wife.

As far as I know sending money via Western Union is done over the counter. The risk involved in sending payment thru western Union is that it does not have chargeback feature.

I have used WU online before and it worked fine, I just had to call the WU call center to verify everything.

You can make WU payments online but I think the person has to go to the desk in person, to pick up the money. I just think way too many people have used it for scams for me to ever use it for anything business oriented. I think it makes a business look shady.
