Default Does your business use a CMS?

I was just wondering if any of you use a Content Management System (CMS) for your business? If so, do you use a custom CMS or a template one like Joomla? I actually always spend the money to get my business a custom CMS as it's just so much easier to have a custom tailored CMS that fits the in's and the out's of your website. The only problem is that this can be quite expensive.

Do you use a custom CMS? Any CMS at all?

No. Some of the sites I run are powered by Wordpress, though. In my opinion, it's the best CMS on the market. For a business, it's definitely best to hire a coder and get one to suit your needs. It's so much easier to do in the beginning then to mess around with it later. Of course, it's not cheap.

I agree that WordPress is probably the very best CMS for simple websites, but it doesn't offer nearly the amount of flexibility that a custom CMS offers.

Most of my sites, like Max, use wordpress and I have to say that I love it. One uses a commercial license of Expression Engine. And, some have custom CMSes (where it warrented the need).

No point in re-inventing the wheel when one of the out-of-box solutions could solve the problem.

I use WordPress for two of my websites, but they're both blogs. I guess you could expand WordPress for websites that are not blogs, but I've yet to do so. I do, however, think it's the best blog software out there.

I use a custom CMS (gamedrift.com) and it's very easy to customize.

The two I have used are Drupal and Wordpress.

Drupal is fantastic if you need a community type site. Really great features.

Wordpress is obviously great for blogs and simple content sites.

I find Wordpress the easiest to set up, with Drupal being a little more complicated.
