IE6 tries to improve because it is really too lousy compared to browsers like Safari and Firefox, so I guess you can say it's both.

Yeah, very true. Plus, they came out with a new OS they have to have something up to date to match the OS.

I use both IE7 and Firefox. The layout in IE7 is different and will take some getting used to. I do like the customizable toolbar features. I installed the VRE (virtual real estate) toolbar, and use it regularly.

Word to the wise. Always have a backup browser on your system. Shortly after upgrading to IE7, I ran a directory cleaner and wiped out a number of .dll files from IE7. The obvious results were that it stopped working for me. I woulda been screwed if I did not have Firefox to go to Microsoft and download IE7 again.

Giant,
Over the years I have made a small fortune from businesses calling me because they did just that and didn't have a backup. If nothing else, people should have a cd with the files on it.

You can also share your bookmarks between both browsers.

Well for me I am still big fan of Opera browsers because it is faster than others and looks good for me. Firefox is also best for me. IE is not good and after few years people forgot to use it.
