Mike_C: My physical PayPal debit card is an ACTUAL card, I can use it to purchase stuff online or I can take the card with me and purchase stuff at stores and what not with it. The virtual is just a virtual debit card, you can purchase stuff online BUT you cannot actually take a "virtual" card with you. Hopefully this clears it up for you. Best of luck man.

Oh sorry, but yeah, I just made my first ATM transaction with my physical debit card, and its cool to have INSTANT access to my PayPal actt.

That sounds like great! How did you go about getting it? Does it cost anything; are there any additional charges?

Nope, you just click a button and you can either choose from 2 methods, I forget the other but one is for you to display a PayPal banner on your site or whatever/something like that and once you accept that, it automatically sets it up for you.

Sorry sorry sorry... your talking about the card. Let me break it down to you:

The PayPal debit card is available for FREE (yes I said FREE) but you have to meet the minimum requirements, including having an extensive account transaction history as well as 1 debit/credit card already on your account. There are I believe 2 other methods of requirements but I am not sure what they are right off the top of my head, you'll have to look through their KnowledgeBase for it.

The cashback is free to, just agree to do 1 of the 2 methods provided and you'll get 1% back with ever non-pin transaction purchase.

I'd never heard of this before. Just went to try out the virtual one - 'due to heavy load this service has been temporarily disabled'. Bah.

I really hope I get offered the physical one sometime soon. Is there a way to apply or do you just have to wait to get offered it?

You can apply for it, login to your PayPal account... once logged in, scroll to the bottom and click the "ATM/Debit Card" link and follow through with it. Then once filled out, give them a day or two (sometimes 3) to receive your email whether you've been approved or not. If you have been approved, you'll receive your debit card in 1-2 weeks... they told me 2 weeks, but I received mines a week later so yeah.

I checked out the requirements at PayPal's website and it seems that I don't meet the requirements. That's a shame. I could've used the physical debit card.
