Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, I'd take a look at Quicken first. It's easy to use and offers a lot of reports, budgeting, etc. If you want something more sophisticated, take a look at QuickBooks but for home use that's probably more than you need.

I have had a nice experience with power point ,excell and quick books.I can recommend those three and hope they can help you when combined.
