I recently found AVG Anti-Spyware and it is by no means a resource hog. It works great and it automatically updates itself. I also use AVG a ntivirus, and is just as good if not better than Norton IMO.

I like AVG too - but it's not free anymore as of the beginning of the year...

Yes I have also checked AVG, and it is good anti virus. AVG and aVast are both a great help for those home users who are getting best protection for Free.

I use both spyware and adware all the time and I have to as long as spammers are around

Aside from Adware and SpyBot, I also use Combofix. It can remove spywares and trojans which can't be removed by popular anti spyware applications. It's a very light application. I make sure my AVG is running all the time to catch intruders into my PC.

I use a combination the combination of Adaware and Defender...that seems to do the job for me. I don't like to purchase antispy software, but if you're looking to buy spy sweeper is rated best buy by pcworld.

I think Adware is ok but spyware is not in accordance with business ethics.
