Default Support Desk Software

What kind of Support Desk software is your business running if any? I'm using a custom coded Support Desk for my businesses. However, I've had success with PerlDesk before going custom. I decided to go custom, because it was just easier for our business to keep track of everything by tying the support desk into the customer's account information.

I have tried Help Center Live, Perldesk, and few other random ones. They all get the job done but if I were to need a support desk system, I would probably get one custom coded because it would have to interact with the client's information.

I think Perldesk does a really good job, but that was like four years ago when I was using it. I had a free copy at the time, because I had been using it since the beginning.

I am a little surprised that no one mentioned Cerberus or Kayako. As for custom coded solution, indeed it is a good idea but then again it boils down to your needs. As of today, Cerberus meets all my needs so no reason I should burn more money on this front.

I remember when Intello Desk was still in beta. It looks quite impressive now.

I recommend IntellDesk and PerlDesk. They're both good support desk systems.
