You can call your issuing bank to see what options they offer. Different companies offer different security features. Visa has Verified by Visa (VBV) and MasterCard has MasterCard Secure Code (MSC). This helps to protect merchants as well as consumers.
I think American Express is supposed to be very secure also. I have always used my Amex because I have heard they have the best fraud protection reputation.
That's interesting. It's nice to know how important security is. Fraud costs banks millions of dollars a year in write off costs, so it's good that they are finally offering options for additional protection.
I do worry, but I don't think it is any worse than ordering things over the phone. And I only enter my credit card info if I see that it is a secure site. Which probably doesn't mean much, but I feel better.
Regarding the limits, yes I talked to my bank and they have send me a limited risk card. Now if I want to use this card, my risk is limited to that particular amount. I think this is a good option.
My view about using credit cards online is for one not be worried about the hackers or online thieves, the only way to do it is to add their card to paypal.Paypal protects your detail and whoever your buying from will not be able to see your card details. The good about it is that even the paypal employees can never know your card details so its safe.
Well I use credit cards since long time but I had no problem of hacking and scammed but I always use safe credit card which provide from mmy local bank to insure minimum risk.
What these internet thieves?I think the safest way to sue your card is if you add it to paypal.Nobody will know your details apart from paypal.Cose even paypal employees dont know your details.
