Default Video production for sites?

I've been reading a lot about how video is so hot online right now. People are using videos to launch products, promote affiliate products, and build lists. My question is does anyone know of any tools that are inexpensive which will create videos? (I'm not talking Camtasia but actual video of humans or dogs or maybe even aliens depending on what kind of day it is ) Anyone know of a software to get videos on your site?

We use Captivate to create movies online. You can always record using a camera and then upload it to your computer. You will need some software editing material to actually edit the video like Adobe, Ulead, etc

Movieworks is a low cost solution and check out Quicktime pro.

You have to first prepare the raw video. Once you are ready with it, then upload it into your PC and edit it with Ulead/Adobe. Here you can add various effects and then save it as the final version. Most of these tools mentioned here will give you a guide on how to upload it in the web.

Also flash converts movies for display on site and generates a slightly smaller file.

I use windows movie maker, its free and easy to use. Adding sound, effects and images, also you can take the movie and use it wirhin a flash file making it even better for promotional purposes.

I personally like Windows Movie Maker because of the price (it's free) and the ease of usage. I don't recommend this for professional use. This movie maker is just for those people who want to have a simple business presentation, or if you want to publish it on a movie site. People who are more serious should consider a paid movie maker version from Quicktime or Movieworks
