Webstats for affiliate links

I know that there are many services out there that you can use to track the origin of traffice to your own website. Does anyone know it there is a good way to find out where traffic is coming from on your affiliate links, when you don't actually have a page of your own? Is there such a service, or should you run the link through page of your own that has a some sort of hit tracking code but immediately redirects visitor to the affiliate links sales page?

Statcounter would be the best free method of tracking your site, but if you don't have access to your websites configuration utility I don't think there is a website monitoring software that is free for you that is avaliable right now.
