Ditto for me -- AwStats + Google Analytics.

I use AwStats simply because thats what my server came with. I have used Urchin but didnt think much of it, so will be interesting to see if Google improved it much.

I am working on a simple free stats service too, mainly coz I have the domain W3Stats.com sitting unused.

Now, I've found something that's just a boatload of fun! Go figure. A traffic analysis tool? Fun? Yes, it's called VisitorVille http://www.visitorville.com/.

This program turns your traffic into an animated 3Dimensional city with buildings, or houses that represent your site pages and people walking around that represent your visitors. The more popular your pages are, the taller buildings they become. Your visitors can also take taxis that demonstrate their navigation through your site. It's like your Awestats married the SIMS. Now don't get me wrong, as clever as it is, it's not just a toy. The stats that it provides are more comprehensive than any other program I've seen. It just makes the stats a whole lot easier to understand.

I find myself now looking to find ways of making my "city" bigger by trying to add pages that will be more attractive to more visitors. Have fun!
That is amazing! I've got to check this out for myself.

Personally I use one called TrackPro2 which is developed by a company named Curve 2 Design. its in beta and so not perfect yet, but it is nice and simple design wise which I like.

I also use google analytics on a couple of my sites. The only thing that frustrates me about analytics is its always about a day behind.

I also use mint on one of my sites and it has to be my favourite!

I use AW Stats and Google Analytics on my websites. They're both good.

Yes, VisitorVille ( http://www.visitorville.com/ ) is for windows only machines because, although your website may be hosted remotely by some other server/host and the code is very simple to apply to the site, the actual program that allows you to view your stats in the animated 3D format from your computer is compiled in .exe (executable) format. Executable programs can typically only be read by Windows operating systems and Mac systems that have a Windows emulator running on them.

This is unfortunate because we also publish children's ebooks that are also incredibly unique at http://www.Ebooks4Tots.com. But... they are also compiled in exe. Developers have been trying to rewrite their code to be compatible, but Mac keeps changing their configuations and processors (now using Intel) and until they settle on which way their going, PC software developers can only move on to try and improve their PC customer base.

I use google analytics. Its the best stats program, there is so much information there to digest.

before this i was using a program called BBClone which is free, but I found it just gobbled up server load so I was glad to let it go in favour of GA.

I use a combination of Google Analytics and AW Stats. I think most webmaster are doing this right now who run CPanel. I'm sorry for all of you who haven't gotten into Google Analytics or got an invite to it. I wish you the best of luck.

I signed up straight away for Analytics, I didnt even realise they were limiting sign ups either.
I was just excited to be getting this expensive software for nothing.

They are still limiting the number of sites you can track though which is somewhat annoying.

So it seems like most people use AW Stats, Google Analytics, and Urchin.

Google Analytics is Urchin. There is no Urchin anymore I believe (well who would pay for it now anyway?)

The other main one is Webalizer, but Im not sure many people use that anymore.
