Default ACH Payments

I was reading up and am interested in ACH processing as an alternative method for people who don't have any way to pay online for my website work. Does anybody have an instructional site on how to do ACH processing. I know I can use other website that will allow me too but I can't really understand the fullfillment of these sites and how to exactly to do it, plus its like $200 to setup and $25 a month as well as .55 cents per transaction.

Help me.

csmaster: Do you know what ACH is (Automated Clearing House) What does PayPal credit card processing have to do with direct bank debiting.

Hi there, Baby Boy! Glad to see someone I still recognize is hanging around here!

I am not sure on this, but perhaps talk to your bank....they should be able to help you out on setting this up.

Since you're going to a new bank, if WellsFargo is in your area I highly recommend it. Then talk to their merchant services people, get a Authorize.net account setup ($31.00 a month and if you bank with them they waive the annual fees), and then contact Authorize.net as they have a system for doing ACH payments that is very affordable.

I would not use Authorize.net if you plan on doing direct debit as authorize.net is more of an Echeck service and NOT direct debit. With direct debit there are no processing discount rates only a per transaction fee (usually around .25-.75 cents). Authorize.net is a Echeck service meant for converting and accepting checks online for a smaller fee (usually .50% + 35 cents)

The $200 setup fee is normal for Direct Debit however $25/month is not. call the company your interested in and most likely you can get them to waive that fee.
