I recently sold a website for $1,500. The buyer paid via PayPal and then I immediately transferred the money to my bank account. My quesiton is: if the buyer disputes the charge, can PayPal take the money out of my bank account?

I'm not really sure whethre or not PayPal can take money out of your account. They can take money out of your account when you're buying something so why not when you're getting charged back? It's a question that I would love to hear a concrete answer about.

I believe part of the contract you sign up when you agree to sell using a paypal account is that if you owe money Paypal can file to get the money back anyway possible.

I believe they would have to first instruct your bank and say that you owed money before taking it, they aren't just allowed to take money without consent.

Best way is to ask Paypal themselves I suppose..

If you don't get any luck then give them a ring. I personally didn't get anything out of them until I actually spoke to a "human being".. well thats what I thought I was speaking to..
