Has anyone heard of Google Checkout? It's suppose to be the PayPal killer.

Only within geeky forums.

Paypal get most of their business through ebay, not freelance work. Google won't be able to get that business. But it will probably be mainly used for adwords and adsense integration.

However there are 'horror' stories for paypal and adsense, people just care more when they worked 5 hours for that $90, rather than running a website to earn that $90.

I think we'll probably first see it with AdWords and AdSense, but that eventually it might become bigger and more like PayPal. I would just love to see someone rival PayPal, because then they might have a price war and bring the prices down on commision.

As Vi5 pointed out PayPal have a very big advantage with the $1,000 a second spent on ebay.

Yes, they have a huge advantage, but didn't Yahoo and other search engines have a huge advantage over Google? I know that if anyone can take on PayPal, it's Google.
