You really cannot.. Some people have set up bank accounts in other countries, but if your country is not supported, I would not suggest getting a paypal account. They have the right to terminate your account and hold onto any money that might be in there (and rightfully so) since the terms that you agreed to were not followed

Well if you have Xoom services in your country than you can use them to withdraw your money. Simple open an account in Xoom and send money to your adderess. Than funds your money from PayPal.

Yeah if you open one in another country and for some reason they look into this they will probably freeze your account and you will lose your money. People have lost hundreds of dollars for far sillier things and I wouldn't reccomend it.

Yes Tangent in this case many people lost their accounts and money which they earned from honest works. So try to exchange money with other members.

You may want to look into opening a bank account in the US if you are planning on using paypal. You will also need a street address and a credit card which are pretty easy to do.

- For getting a US credit card. You can signup for a online prepaid debit card from simonmalls.com. Use your US address as the billing information.

- To obtain a US street address, you can try calling a company such as THE UPS STORE and purchase a mailbox over the phone. This is not a PO box so most companies will allow you to use it. your address will look like:
11223 Main St.
PMB 123
Dallas, Tx 11111
USA

- There are many companies who will help you obtain a bank account. However if you have the above it will be much easier.

Hi stella7,

I figured since I am feeling pretty active today, I'd throw in my little bit of .02 cents (seeing that God knows that's just about all I have in my pockets right now  ... ANYWAY!)

Now, I agree with FormPay... but I alter on some of the things stated... for instance, here is what I'd say:

1. First, I'd say get a US bank account. For this, I am going to recommend U.S. Bank (http://www.usbank.com) I read somewhere that they allow you to open up an account with them, requiring that you have at least a U.S.-based address.

2. On the topic of debit cards, U.S. Bank provides one to you. Now, I don't know what the fees are and on 2 accounts with U.S. bank can you only take out money from any ATM... but maybe a little research would find that out. This'll give you the opportunity to take money from your U.S. Bank account by wiring it to your local bank or using your ATM card if possible. If you can't use your ATM card, as stated, you can withdraw from your U.S. Bank account by wiring it to your local bank.

3. Lastly, addresses, I'd say for a U.S. address... try 1mailforward.com or nymail.com --- both provide personal addresses (and their both based in New York, USA) --- as well as both have a system to logon each day to see if you have mail. Only thing is, to forward your mail, 1mailforward.com requires a $30 postage deposit and I believe nymail.com requires you provide them with self-postage addressed envelopes.

Hope I helped you out.

To open a US bank account, there is a regulation called YKYC (you know your customer) that has to be completed. Usually this is done just by walking into the bank. Online, they will ask for you a SSN etc but you actually do not need an SSN to open a bank account (unless it is interest bearing).

Check with your local banks, they might have a relationship with a bank in the United States, especially with Bank of America since it is a "money center bank". If they have a relationship, they might actually be able to help you open a bank account in the United States

Post Re: How can i withdraw my money from paypal?

I live in Guatemala, although I am originally from Canada and since Guatemala is not supported by PayPal, this has been a problem for me. My Canadian bank account is no longer working and I was at a loss as to what to do.

My sister offered me the perfect solution. She opened a separate bank account and sent me the debit card (which works down here) and then I opened a PayPal account in her name, attaching the account to it. Now I can transfer money to the bank account and take it out on my debit card.

This is a bit of a round about way to do things and you really need to trust the person you team up with, but it is a way to manage. I suspect PayPal will be expanding in the future. They have to if they want to become a truly international site. They are losing out on a lot of business by not allowing so many countries to join.
