Default PayPal & ATM

Does anyone use the ATM feature of PayPal? I don't, because I just send the money directly to my bank account and then use my own credit card / ATM card. If you do use the PayPal ATM card, how is it?

Yes, we have a Paypal debit card.

We used to use it to have a separate record of how much we spent on shipping, etc. for eBay.

We don't sell much on eBay anymore, but we still use the card all the time.

We use that card number for most online purchases. Ocassionally we use it for other purchases as well.

It works the same as our bank Visa Debit card. No problems at all.

So you could use PayPal to pay on sites that dont accept PayPal, like if they used 2CheckOut or something?

Also if you do that, does it default to coming out of your PayPal balance, or does it withdraw it form your bank account?

Exactly, you can use it to pay online to sites that do not accept Paypal. It works the same way as a bank visa debit.

The default is for the payment to come from your Paypal balance, and that's what we always do.

I'm pretty sure there is a link to other payment options though if you prefer to pay through your bank account.

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't see why it would be for US residents only.

It's much easier to control it if it's in the states only. Think about it, a CC payment can go to many different systems while Paypal payments go from Paypal to Paypal.

No, I don't have a Paypal debit card but I'm looking into getting one.

Yes, it's much easier to control if it's the United States only, but if you want to be an International company like PayPal claims it is, you need to take risks and put things in place so that other countries can get a debit card too. That's all I'm saying.

I use the PayPal debit card a lot. It's an easy way for me to access my funds without having to withdraw.
