| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? As soon as a company comes out with lower rates, friendlier, and easily accessible support and staff, they'll be taking over the industry in no time. Paypal's method and supprt for everything is...retarded to say the least, and once someone fixes everything that paypal is weak about, then things'll change. |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? At the moment, I would have to say there isn't a competitor thats even close to PayPal.
I am looking forward to Google's version of PayPal though, it sounds very interesting.
As Julian said, lower rates, friendlier and easily accessible support staff will be amazing. |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? Yeh, I think one of the keys to someone being able to compete with PayPal would be to offer better customer service. PayPal is so hard to get ahold of. And if you use their email support, they take forever to get back to you. Half the time even then they don't really answer your question. |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? Paypal should beware of google. As soon as GBuy launches paypal will be blown out of the water. Paypals unreasonaby high fee would go down and their customer support would go up just to even compete. |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? I don't think that PayPal will ever have a competitor unless a giant like Google steps up and tries to compete with them. PayPal just has too many customers and is too well known for other people to use anyone else. Also, EBay owns them, so I'm sure they're going to be supporting PayPal for forever. |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? PayPal is too far for anyones reach, that is, anyone except for a super power like Google. Google is far more popular and trusted. Google has more than enough power, hype, and influence to take over. PayPal better start thinking about what moves they'll make when GBuy opens up shop. |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? I'm really excited to see what Google comes up with. I just hope that it will be a lot better and more trustworthy. Although, wouldn't Google just be the same as Paypal though? |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? GBuy will probably be great, but I doubt they'll make that much of an impact on Paypal's business.
Registering new accounts, transferring masses of money etc.. Doesn't really seem worth it to me, no matter how low all of the fees are. Still, I guess we'll have to wait and see... |

| Re: Will PayPal ever have a competitor? It will definitely perform the same functions as PayPal, maybe a little differently. The main difference, as obvious as it is, is that it's Google; a powerful, established company.
That's true. A lot of people won't want to deal with the hassle of switching to GBuy, but I don't doubt that GBuy will overtake PayPal. |
