Excellent points, Stella. I've sold a few things online, but I'm not handy with a camera or with uploading pictures, and most people want to see what they're buying, so it hasn't been the best business for me. I do sell books and DVDs sometimes, because eBay provides sample pictures of most titles.

Someday I have GOT to set aside the time to actually learn how to use the features on my computer!

I have a couple of points to add on to but they are not as important as the ones you mentioned:

1.Your doing it from your home !
2.You have a greater market since most people who shop at a store are doing it online and the number is increasing meaning more sales
