Adsense is a good program, especially since they offer both pay-by-view and pay-by-click options.

Otherwise, become affiliated directly with the companies that offer services/products related to yours

I've been involved with an affiliate program since Feb and haven't had much luck with it. So if anyone has any other affiliate programs their involved with, I would love to know of it as well. I just started with adsense, so, I guess we'll see.

Well, I think its very good to go through one of the affiliate program groups like Clickbank or Comission Junction. That way, you can market a lot of affiliate programs easily. I'm also involved with the Amazon affiliate program. While their comission is low, its easy to stick their vast array of products into my ecommerce sites.

Thumbs up Re: affiliation programs

I am new here but have been reading for a few.
I have not seen this one listed. It has been one of my top money makers.
TMIWireless

I currently run several affiliate programs on several sites. I have found that Commission Junction and Shareasale are about the best for payout.

I dont get rich, but the extra revenue is very helpful

Try this one. If you are intrested in the ones I use that have actually paid let me know. I can get you into several that actuall will send you a check.

Thanks

David

There are many affiliate programs that you can earn a nice chunk of change from. You just basically have to know where and how to find products that are worthy of you promoting them. This is very easy if you know how to do it. After 3 years of experience and over 200K later, while in college, I can say nothing bad about affiliate marketing. It has been extremely profitable for me.

To me, the best affiliate programs are ones that fit what ever niche you offer. My partner and I have started an affiliate program selling audiobooks. We try and find different niche websites and offer them categories of audiobooks that fit their niche site. This gives them free content and also an extra way to make a little money.

Seems to be working pretty well for the sites that get a little traffic.

We have tried some other affiliate programs that promise huge commissions with out much luck. They are hard to promote in my opinion, and email campaigns are often just looked at as spam

I've found that the best way to find Affiliate programs is to focus on your niche. There are almost always some sort of affiliate program for almost any niche, but the key is to find topics where there is not a lot of competition in Google or the other SE's so you can rank your site easily for your keywords.

Completely agree with others who say focus on a niche instead of an affiliate program at first. You can find an affiliate program for pretty much anything you could possibly want to sell.
