Default Banner and Commercial Advertising

I figured since I'm backed up in work for this Shine 98 idea, I needed some help. If you could please NBT, help me situate a couple things.

What rates should I charge for the following:

Banner Ad: 468x60 (1,000 Impressions)

Station Commercials:
:20 Second Commercial
:30 Second Commercial
:45 Second Commercial
:60 Second Commercial
:90 Second Commercial

10 Spin's in a Week
20 Spin's in a Week
30 Spin's in a Week

I'm not planning to sell enough advertising that'll flood the station with nothing but a bunch of advertisements so I'm probably going to make the rates reasonable and they'll pay on a weekly basis. This'll pay for the site stuff (stream services, etc.)

Hey BabyBoy ( cant remember your real name)
I am pretty clueless about personal Online Radio, but to help you determine prices.
We are gonna need some stats on your Radio Station. I am not sure, how stats from Radio compare to stats from Website. But some information would help...

Hi Baby Boy,

Before we give quotes, we need to know a bit more about your website including it's traffic stats. I'm guessing it's some sort of streaming radio station? If so, we need to know approximately how many users are tuned in at any given time. I haven't ever advertised on a radio station but it's quite obvious that a commercial would be more expensive if it was played during prime time. That's something you need to keep in mind.

^^ I agree with you Max, and yes Dan, you are smart, it is Dustin.

Okay, so to cover things, primetime did cross my mind as being more.

I am not the best at estimation, but I'll give you some good faith estimation since I have not released the site yet.

Morning (7am-12pm): 120 Listener's (est.)
Afternoon (12pm-5pm): 125-150 Listener's (est.)
Evening (5pm-11pm): 200-250 Listener's (est.)
Late Night (11pm-7am): 50-140 Listener's (est.)

That's my estimates... that is just my startup estimates and I am planning to by the end of the summer have up to 500 listener's.

I'll be broadcasting at 2 rates, so it'll get across to even people who have dial-up internet. The 2 rates will be 128Kbps and 48Kbps as well so they'll be a good range of listener's and maybe even more then my estimates.

I am actually narrowing it out, I am eliminating the spin's so the advertiser's will not get an actual time of how many time's the advertisements will spin. So I guess a different method of how they'll pay will be in effect... maybe based on my list above, the late night, morning, etc. type method. Maybe another way, simple non-primetime and primetime... but they'll have some other things to consider.

Now for my site stats, once again, GFE (good faith estimates):

Site Visit's (Summer 2006 Months): 50,000 Unique Visits
Demographics (Age Group): 13-17 y/o: 40%, 18-25 y/o: 35%, 26-35 y/o: 15%, 36+ y/o: 10%
Demographics (Time Visits): 7am-12pm: Medium Visits, 12pm-5pm: High Visits, 5pm-11pm: High Visits, 11pm-7: Low/Medium Visits

That should be enough stat's... remember, there all GFE. Anyway, I am thinking about restricting up to 15-20 commercial advertiser's at a time... and keep the advertisements spread out and maybe like, during some primetime night show's have like a block of commercials (maybe 4-5) then back to the music. I estimate last a majority of the listener's come in Friday and Saturday nights.

One thing as I stated should be taken into effect is... one, if its primetime and if its not primetime. So that'll be most likely my two choices for them to choose from. They must also provide a voiceover commercial which I'll give them a couple places to check out for that and they purchase to have them made. The commercial's will have restrictions as well, which'll be posted up on the site at a later date.

So for right now, if everybody could narrow it down to how much the commercial advertiser's (on-station) pay on the categories of:

Primetime (12pm-11pm)
Non-Primetime (11pm-12pm)

And for the site, I need the rates for:

728x90
468x60
120x60
100x600 (Skyscraper)

That should be it, by the way, I was considering Casale Media and them but people consider them "SPAM" ad's... would I be best to market to actualy companies that I approve of?

Got AwStats installed so like I promised, give me a couple weeks to generate some reports and I'll give you the statistics (its web statistics, not age stats or anything like that, maybe I'll find something that does deeper demographics later then just web... for now, AwStats will do.)
