Default how to get my affiliate program off the ground

just wondering if anyone had any tips. My program is run thru CafePress, but I'd love to be able to get some professional affiliate marketers advertising my site...from my understanding, it could mean a big boom to my business.

I'm not really sure how you can get in on an affiliate program. I'm guessing you're going to need to look for websites that allow publishers and advertisers to sign up. You then sign up as an advertiser and your website circulates with the other affiliate programs. What about trying something like Pay-Per-Click Google AdWords or Yahoo Overture?

I'm not sure if i explained myself. I offer an affiliate program...20% of all sales sent our way (it's actually run thru CafePress). I'm looking for advice on how I can get people to sign up and join my affiliate program.

Well, one way is to put it in your signature on forums...a number like 20% will probably grab folks' attention.

Also, try purchasing a few inexpensive banner ad spots. Develop a simple banner ad explaining the affiliate program and see what happens.

You may also want to try visiting the ABestWeb.com forum. I was a member there one time. All they dicuss is affiliate programs, so you may some people there.

Good luck!

There are big affiliate directories out there you could get listed in. I also offer an affiliate program on my t-shirt site (not CafePress) and have gotten several affiliates signed up from those directories.

Do affiliate programs charge fees? If so, how much, what is the range of the fees or is it taken from the sales ?
